What Is Co-codamol 30/500mg Used For?

Important Safety Information
• Addiction risk: codeine is an opioid; dependence can occur.
• Duration: shortest possible; withdrawal symptoms if stopped suddenly.
• CYP2D6: ultra‑rapid metabolisers convert codeine to morphine rapidly — risk of toxicity.
• Children: contraindicated under 12 years; under 18 years post‑tonsillectomy.
Who Should Not Take Co-codamol?
Avoid if you have:
• Severe asthma or breathing problems
• Head injury or raised intracranial pressure
• MAOI use (past 14 days)
• Alcoholism
• Breastfeeding
Possible Side Effects
