What Is Armodafinil 150mg Used For?
• Narcolepsy — excessive daytime sleepiness
• Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) — adjunct to CPAP
• Shift work disorder — improves alertness during night shifts
Important Safety Information
• Not a stimulant: but carries abuse potential; schedule CIV.
• Serious rash: Stevens‑Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, DRESS — discontinue at first sign.
• Psychiatric: may cause mania, delusions, hallucinations, aggression.
• Contraception: reduces efficacy of hormonal contraceptives; alternative method required.
Who Should Not Take Armodafinil?
Avoid if you have:
• Hypersensitivity to modafinil or armodafinil
• Left ventricular hypertrophy or mitral valve prolapse (history of stimulant use)
• Uncontrolled moderate‑to‑severe hypertension
• Arrhythmias
Possible Side Effects
